Lorraine’s qualifications include:
· A Social Science degree (Criminology) (Politics and Public Policy)
· A Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology,
· A Diploma of Professional Counselling (with majors in Grief and Loss; Effective Parenting; Survivors of Abuse and Relationship Issues).
· Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training
of the caring professions for many years,
Lorraine Dailey was a lawyer specializing in Family Law for some 15 years. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives and continues to hold a current Practicing Certificate in the U.K.
Lorraine’s continued interest in Domestic Violence and family issues prompted her to attain a Social Science degree in Criminology with a sub-major in Politics and Public Policy. Thereafter Lorraine successfully completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychology.
Having the experience of telephone counselling with Lifeline she continued her studies in the area of Counselling with the Australian Institute of Professional Counsellors, obtaining her Diploma in Professional Counselling and study majors in Grief & Loss, Child Development and Parenting, Relationship issues and Working with Survivors of Abuse.
Having graduated Lorraine formed a partnership with Susan, Aarminique Counselling, initially practicing in Round Corner Dural and expanding to several locations in Baulkham Hills Shire.
Lorraine is a Professional Member of the Australian Counselling Association and the N.S.W. Counselling Association and an accredited Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Professional Counsellors.
With a Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training Lorraine has undertaken training programmes for the Salvation Army Employment Plus, Hornsby Ku-Ring-Gui Community College and is currently an accredited Trainer with the Australian Institute of Professional Counselling at Parramatta, NSW.
Susan has a nursing background and has also held senior administrative roles in allied industries. She is now reconnecting with the caring professions in what is an integral area of health care.
As well as her nursing qualifications Susan has completed Diploma of Professional Counselling with major studies in working with those suffering through issues of grief and loss and also those dealing with issues of abuse.
Both counsellors regularly update skills and undergo supervisory sessions in accordance with the rules of the A.C.A.
